Did you know that women cycle through 4 phases each month? If you're menstruating, you follow your menstrual cycle and if you're not menstruating, you follow the moon cycle. ⁠

Did you also know that men follow these same four phases but in 24 HOURS??⁠

Did you also know that women, for years and years and years, have been attempting to manage their energy in this same 24 hour rotation of the 4 phases? Our world is designed to cater to a man's cycle. ⁠

It's the 9-5 jobs, the zero variation workouts, menus, and more.

It's why we, as women, are burning to a crisp. It's why one day you feel like superwoman and like you can accomplish anything. And then the next day you have zero confidence and you're questioning everything you've done in life and then the next day you're an emotional wreck. ⁠

(heading 2) There is NOTHING wrong with you. Your energy is simply out of alignment. ⁠

The four phases of the feminine cycle are an amazing way to become more aligned with our own energy. We have been wired to work against this energetic flow, it can feel counterintuitive to figure out how to align with you.

And then even if you want to, it’s hard to know where to begin. 

Here are some easy “dos & don’ts” of each phase of your cycle. 

Menstrual Phase/New Moon

DOs

  • Bookkeeping

  • Goalsetting

  • Decision making

  • Napping

  • Resting

DONTs

  • Don’t do HIIT workouts

  • Don’t throw a party

  • Don’t skip extra sleep

  • Don’t schedule lives on social

  • Don’t schedule interviews

  • Don’t start work on decluttering the house

Follicular Phase/Waning Moon

DOs

  • Start a new project

  • Brainstorm new ideas

  • Schedule meetings

  • Begin moving bigger

  • Take courageous action

DON'Ts

  • Don’t skip opportunities

  • Don’t say “I’ll remember” (write down your ideas!)

  • Don’t play small (ever, but especially in this phase)

Ovulatory Phase/Full Moon

DOs

  • Schedule interviews

  • Initiate intimacy

  • Do HIIT workouts

  • Tackle more things in your schedule

  • Throw a party

  • Make social dates

  • Do lives on social media

DONTs

  • Don’t cancel social plans

  • Don’t play small (still, ever but especially now) 

  • Don’t put off action

  • Don’t skip the opportunity

Luteal Phase/Waxing Moon

DOs

  • Declutter

  • Clean

  • Reschedule social dates

  • Slow down exercise

  • Get 7-8 hours of sleep

  • Make time for processing emotion

  • Wrap up projects or get to a stopping point
